At about 3.05pm on
Sunday 19th May 2013, while passing
through Jalan Permai just opposite Lintang Permai 1, I noticed that there were
2 large sink holes on the left hand side of the road. They were each measuring 4 metres by 2metres
and about 2 metres deep. These 2 sink
holes were being filled up with sand by an excavator and a manual compactor was
being used. The surface was soft with the
possibilities of fresh sink holes appearing.
This is unacceptable as it posses a great danger to
motorcyclist especially at night. It is
surprising that such shoddy work is being carried out apparently after the
laying of drainage pipes. We are also shocked
that there is no check on such dangerous roadworks being done along Jalan
Permai. Many of the residents we spoke
to voiced out their apprehension and fears.
We urge the authorities to check and take immediate action
before accidents take place.
